Appointment Resources
for Delray Beach and Sunrise
Welcome to the Client Hub. Here you can access the information and resources needed to prepare for an appointment, prepare patient forms, schedule a follow-up, and find details for our Delray Beach and Sunrise offices.
New Patient Preparation
Before your first visit, please call the Delray Beach or Sunrise office to complete a brief intake questionnaire by phone. This allows Dr. Du to review your primary concerns and prepare for your initial consultation.
Your treatment recommendations will be discussed after Dr. Du completes the appropriate assessment during your appointment.
FAQ: First Visit Preparation
-
Your first visit is a comprehensive 60-minute experience that includes a full health intake and your initial acupuncture treatment. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing to allow easy access to acupuncture points during the session. We recommend avoiding heavy meals or excessive caffeine in the hour before your visit, though it is best not to arrive on a completely empty stomach.
-
Dr. Du is a self-pay, out-of-network provider and does not accept any insurance.
Follow-Up Care
Follow-Up Appointments: To schedule your next appointment, please call the Delray Beach or Sunrise office you plan to visit.
Herbal Formula Refills: Please contact the office at least 48 hours in advance to request a refill of your personalized Chinese herbal formula. Refill requests may require review before preparation.
FAQ: Ongoing Care & Policies
-
Acupuncture is most effective as an ongoing wellness practice. During an active treatment period, we typically recommend two sessions per week, or at least once a week, to maintain momentum and achieve the best results. Once your condition stabilizes, we will transition you to a maintenance schedule to support your long-term health.
-
Your body continues to recalibrate after treatment, so we recommend taking it easy for the remainder of the day. Even after a successful course of treatment, you should still pay close attention to your body's signals. Please avoid aggressive sports, heavy lifting, or long, strenuous outdoor events immediately following your sessions to allow the healing process to settle. Rest and hydration are highly recommended.
-
We require 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment so that we can offer the time slot to another patient in need of care. Please note that appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice will be subject to a cancellation fee.
